It was a truly fun and memorable experience.
The chef, who spoke impressively in English, guided us through the process with warmth and enthusiasm.
He began with a brief but fascinating history of rice in Japan, helping us understand the cultural significance behind onigiri. We then got hands-on experience making onigiri using two different types of rice, learning how texture and taste can vary. The chef demonstrated techniques step by step, making it easy to follow even for beginners.
What made it even more special was that we got to take home the onigiri we made ourselves. It was both educational and enjoyable — a perfect blend of culture, food, and fun.
I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone interested in Japanese cuisine or looking for a unique cultural activity.
